This product has been designed for the interactive
use combined with GPS; it is valid for a PC Windows,
where the software OziExplorer must be installed as prerequisite, or
for a PocketPC WindowsCE, where the software OziExplorerCE must be
installed as prerequisite. The same maps are also available for
mobile phones compatible with the free software MapViewGPS (
more...). The equivalent vector maps
are also available for Garmin MapSource/nRoute in PC environment and
for use with PDA equipped with Garmin Que and/or with each Garmin GPS
unit supporting BlueCharts (

For each zone this product includes:
- 1 general map at scale 1:250.000 (pixel size is 57 m).
- several maps at scale 1:50.000, covering all the coastline;
the pixel size is 14,25 m. Land is filled with Landsat 7 satellite
images.
- several maps at scale 1:25.000, with the same coverage as 1:50.000
maps; the pixel size is 7,125 m.
- several maps at scale 1:10.000, covering the ports and
surrounding area; the pixel size is 2,5 m.
- the descriptive informations on major ports
- the waypoints of ports
All maps are distributed using the OZFX3 format, optimized for
the latest version of OziExplorer. The descriptive informations of ports
are in HTML-JPG format (language is Italian); the waypoints are in WPT
format.
In the PC environment the descriptive informations of ports can
be accessed by double clicking the port symbol on the maps. This is
not supported in PDA environment: to see the descriptive informations
in PDA you must open the HTML file having
the same name of the port of which you need informations.
The size of maps and data is different from area to area, ranging
from a minimum of 100MB to a maximum of 170MB.
